Having been an instructor for over twenty years, Michael teaches all levels of rock, classical, blues and electric guitar and bass.
Lessons are available online or at Michael's Studio in Algonquin, IL.
Michael's musical journey started at the age of eight when he began studying the violin, switching after five years to the Spanish Classical guitar. While studying guitar at Elmhurst College, he began his own teaching studio where he has taught hundreds of guitar students over the years.
Currently Michael teaches privately, has performed in many area rock bands, and does numerous solo acoustic/classical recitals throughout the Chicago area.
Mike's classical guitar is a favorite at Chicago area weddings and corporate events.
As a member of a couple of local bands, Mike has played some of the biggest stages in Chicago.
It has long been known that children who are involved in structured study of a musical instrument or other art form develop better math and reasoning skills, have a better defined understanding of responsibility, and are generally more knowledgeable in areas of art and culture.
With Schools continuing to cancel art and music programs, private instrument study is a great alternative to foster a child's imagination and provide a growing sense of self confidence!Lessons build responsibility, manual dexterity, and some consider it about the same as learning a foreign language.
Lessons are not just for children or teenagers, but can be enjoyed by adults who have "always wanted to play guitar".

Introducing a new vision in music instruction! Michael is offering a unique and efficient blend of live remote online guitar & bass e-lessons with personalized private demo video instruction to follow hosted on YouTube.com.
Each live e-lesson is completely private and hosted through a variety of available platforms.
Materials are sent via email or text message. Local clients are encouraged to take an initial 2 or 3 physical lessons in Michael's studio and then transition to remote e-lessons.
Life is busy enough. There is no need to drive around when you can get high-quality lessons in the comfort of your own home along with follow-up videos to guide you through the learning process.
My lessons are charged in groups of four lessons, roughy one 30 minute lesson a week.
• Lessons are also available at my Studio if that is a better fit: the cost is $100.00 per four 30 minute lesson (paid monthly). Reschedules are acceptable with 24 hour notification.
• I DO NOT barter for lessons. Please understand that I am a professional teacher and do this for a living. Thank you.

Mike’s a super cool friendly and the most important- tolerant instructor! He understands your taste and teaches you whatever you want and even writes his own music and shares with me. I have a very erratic schedule but he understands my issues and accomodates the schedule changes as per my availability even with a short notice.
